Luton Town Cricket Day

We are proud to have the continued support of Luton Town Football Club.  The club arranged a celebrity cricket game which saw Luton Town old boys Mick Harford (Patron), Scott Oakes and Marvin Johnson play alongside cricketing legends Philip DeFreitas and Devon Malcolm.  The star attraction was Pakistan’s Imran Nazir who spent lots of time signing autographs for his young fans.

A great day was had by all.

England striker - Jermain Defoe's visit to Keech Hospice Care

On the 30th September 2010, The Karen Trust were supported by one of their Patrons; England Premiership Footballer - Jermain Defoe in presenting a cheque to Keech Hospice Care in Luton from members of The Karen Trust Team. Our aim is to assist Keech Hospice Care each quarter with providing support to a local terminally ill cancer patient.

Whilst at Keech, Jermain also made time to visit the Childrens Hospice, where the children were only too pleased to demonstrate their football techniques; and many of the children got their shirts signed etc. Jermain was also the first person to sign the new graffiti wall. A great afternoon was had by all!

The 2010 Karen Trust Run

Our 2010 run attracted some great supporters including Ian Wright, Mick Harford, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Dave Coard of local Triathlon Club BoxFit and the wonderful Portia who could be seen lapping many of the runners on the day.
