Sam Moody - Great South Run on Sunday 27th October

Sam Moody ran the Great South Run on Sunday 27th October, despite the terrible weather conditions he completed the run in 1:36:06, he raised £130.00 for our Charity.

He’s already booked his hotel accommodation for next year, so fingers crossed he’ll get a place again and raise lots more cash !

The Gardeners Call - Pub Quiz - Friday 27th September 2013

The Gardeners Call Public House in Hightown Road, Luton invited their regulars to attend a Pub Quiz on Friday 27th September, around 20 people joined the fun night, a raffle was also held, a huge £230.00 was raised during the evening which was all donated to our Charity.

Bupa Great South Run 27th October 2013

A big thank you goes out to Tim Lovett who has signed up to run in the BUPA GREAT SOUTH RUN for us on 27th October 2013. It is Europe's leading 10 mile road race, with 21,000 runners. It is on a fast, flat course through Southsea, Portsmouth and passes some of Portsmouth's naval heritage, including HMS Victory and the Mary Rose.

Indulgence Pamper Day

A fabulous Indulgence Day was held at The Radlett Village Institute were many locals turned out to varying stalls, spray tan stall, nail bar, candle stall plus lots more.....all in aid of charity which was held on Saturday 29th June 2013! From 12:30 - 16:00.

Lots of Raffle prizes were given out on the day!

A massive thank you goes out to the organisers and everyone that turned up, thank you! 

Trans Pennine Challenge 2013

A supporter Dave Manning has finished the gruelling TRANS PENNINE CHALLENGE 2013! He walking 100K (62 miles) in 22 hours and 59 mins including breaks from Manchester to Sheffield for The Karen Trust. Dave I'm glad you didn't ask us to carry your ruck sack for you....lol!

Dave raised £435 for the charity!...thank you!

Luton Legends Team with the Karen Trust

The Karen Trust Trophy - Friday 17th May 2013

A local company, Development Survey Services Limited organised in conjunction with Luton Town Football Club a football night to remember, all in aid of charity!

 

The trophy was contested for by two LUTON LEGENDS teams and two LUTON SUPPORTERS teams. The Legends teams played the Supporters teams and the winners from each game went on to play in the final!

 

We are pleased to announce that our very own Mitchell Thomas lifted 'The Karen Trust Trophy 2013' on behalf of the Luton Legends Team!

 

A thrilling evening was had by all family, friends, supporters and staff - I think we had over 1200 people turn up which is a superb turnout. A massive thank you goes out to everyone that supported this event where we raised in excess of £10,000! - Well done to everyone.....

 

The Legends teams were selected from this squad of players:
Marvin Johnson, Kevin Nicholls, Julian James, Nathan Abbey, John Dreyer, Tony Thorpe, Scott Oakes, Des Linton, Kingsley Black, Peter Holmes, Sol Davis, Stuart Douglas, Paul McClaren, Darren Salton, Julian Watts, David Greene, David Bayliss, Aaron Skelton, Paul Hughes, Steve Howard, Liam George, Carl Griffths, Alan White, Adrian Forbes, Marlon Beresford, Graham Alexander, Steve Davis, David Oldfield, Mitchell Thomas, Paul Underwood, Matthew Spring, Gary Doherty, Lee Mansell and Mark Pembridge.

The DOC in the Paris Marathon 2012

The Doc completed the Paris Marathon in April 2012 on behalf of two local charities - Hospice at Home Volunteers - Dunstable and ourselves! What a fantastic run by the Doc who raised a superb £600!

Luton Town Football Club Xmas Ball 2011

Our local football club, Luton Town invited two of The Karen Trust committee members to join them at their annual Xmas Ball. Mary Gill and Annette White had a great evening networking with other local businesses and supporters and were pleased to say that LTFC raised in excess of £400 from auctioning a signed Football from a LTFC Wembley game.
